I am just loving this color palette for Alex and Ben's  wedding flowers. It's so cheery with its warm apricots, peaches and pinks and rich golden yellow- just perfect for chasing away the cold and gloom of winter.
The flowers included apricot colored stock and peachy-coral Ilse spray roses, pink lisianthus, golden button mums and a deep cherry-pink rose called Cherry-O (which I think is an absolutely stunning color).
Silvery green foliage from the garden included Silver Drop eucalyptus, Centaurea Colchester White, and blue cypress which added a rich texture to the boutonnieres for the guys.
It's hard to believe it's already been a week since the wedding. I am so happy for this newlywed couple. I have known Ben for years, and I am looking forward to getting to know his lovely bride, Alex! Praying God's blessing for you as you begin your lives together as husband and wife!!!

This fall season has truly gone by in a blur. I have to keep reminding myself that it's November already!
As I catch my breath before the holidays arrive, it's great to look back on October and remember some of the lovely weddings I had the privilege to provide flowers for...
Quinn and David's wedding was mid October. One of the first of those coolish autumny days. The skies were just a little drizzly, not too much though, and the emotions were absolutely joyful!
Quinn and her Mom, BJ, are dear friends of mine. When we met to discuss the wedding flowers, it was evident that Quinn knew just what she wanted.
As the wedding day approached,  it was so exciting to see her vision come to life. The colors were soft pinks and peaches and ivories and the flowers included roses, spray roses, baby's breath, and textures such as hypericum berries and fragrant dried lavender.
The wrapping for her bouquet was burlap jute overlaid with lace. And guys sported boutonnieres of waxflowers and dried lavender- the fragrance was wonderful!
So many personal touches were provided by Quinn's family, including these super sweet monogram mugs that her sister, Lauren, gave to the couple!
Table decor was a charming blend of bottles, flowers and votives which were perfect for reception venue- The Cotton Company in Wake Forest, NC.
The super delicious cake was provided by the very gifted Beth Wallen of CakealiciousNC. Her cakes are incredible!!!
I am so happy for Quinn and David as they begin their marriage... Praying God's blessing for you two!!!

The soft dusky lavender shade of Amnesia Roses pairs beautifully with the creamy pink beige of Sahara Roses. Together they conjure up a wonderful romantic, vintage feel.
This color palette worked well for Melissa and Matt's wedding last weekend.
The dreamy colors are a lovely transition from autumn golds and oranges.
And roses look wonderful in all seasons!
Praying God's blessing for you two as you begin your married lives together!

It's so exciting to share the REAL PICTURES from the weddings of couples that I have worked with.
I am continually amazed at the talent that goes into capturing the images of such a monumental day. Katie and Will's September 1st wedding was just incredible, and their photographer, Perry, of Perry Vaile Photography did an outstanding job of capturing the joyful emotions of their special day!!!
Take a look and I am sure you will agree...
Katie's choice of colors were corals, soft peaches, creams and ivories. The finishing touch for the bouquets were flowing ribbons of satin and organza.
Here are some priceless shots of Katie with her bridesmaids....

Of Will and all the men in the wedding party sporting bow ties....
And touching moments of father and daughter, and two sisters who really are best friends.
Jones Chapel on the campus of Meredith College was such a classic venue for their wedding.
After the wedding the guests made their way to the University Club in Raleigh to continue the celebration. Perry really took time to capture so many of the personal details...
The little things that make this wedding unique to Will and Katie....

Today is Rachel and Jacob's wedding day!
Yesterday I sent bouquets and corsages and boutonnieres and buckets of flowers to Boone with her friend, Mary (who created the centerpiece designs). And today these two joined their lives together as husband and wife!
Rachel, her Mom, Cheryl and I talked flowers over the summer.  Rachel's vision was one of crisp greens and whites. Vendela roses and Majolica spray roses were nestled among  baby green hydrangeas and bright green button mums. There were also soft willowy heads of Queen Anne's Lace and emerald green Cleyera Japonica leaves. Everything looked so lovely and fresh. I have been babying some succulents this summer- aka "Hens and Chicks" and was glad to have a nice size one to tuck into Rachel's bouquet.
For her sister, Sarah, who was her Matron of Honor, (so sorry I used the wrong tag!), there were splashes of purple tradescantia and crested celosia.
What a privilege it has been to create these bouquets and such for this sweet, young bride. I am really looking forward to seeing Rachel and hearing all about her wedding day, and I can't wait to meet her new husband, Jacob!!!
Praying God's blessing for you two as you start this wonderful marriage journey!

What a treat to be asked to create Katie and Will's wedding flowers. Katie and my daughter, Mary, were good friends growing up- especially during those high school years. Lots of good memories come to mind when I think of this lovely young woman!
Katie envisioned a warm color palette of peach, light coral and pops of green for the bridesmaids bouquets and soft whites and ivories for her own.
One thing that was tweaked a little a couple months out from the wedding was the wrapping for the bouquets. I showed Katie a picture of bouquets with multiple hanging ribbons, and she was all for giving it a try.
Ceremony designs were created in large footed urns in keeping with the traditional atmosphere at Jones Chapel in Raleigh.
Centerpiece designs somewhat mimicked the bridesmaids' bouquets. Each one set in a ribbon and button embellished vase, (so thankful to have Sandy assist me with all of these!).
I can't wait to share some of the real wedding pictures... so more about these two coming up later this week!

There's just something about roses- their classic elegance  NEVER goes out of style.
So I was delighted to hear that Melinda's favorite flowers were roses- red and white roses- so very romantic and timeless!
Melinda and her mom, Debra, and I met together several times, and each time there was just a bit more excitement as the wedding day approached.
Melinda wanted her bouquet to be a mix of white and cream roses, white freesia and lisianthus. Her bridesmaids carried red roses and white stock.
The ceremony took place at Salem Baptist Church in Apex- such a lovely setting for this July wedding.
Red and white roses, red gladioulus and white hydrangeas were a part of the ceremony designs.
Little touches included a posy for Melinda- whenever possible I like to give my brides a petite bouquet to toss at the reception.
Now it's honeymoon time for these newlyweds!
Praying God's blessing for you two on this wonderful journey of being husband and wife.
